First I made a new document. Then, I chose one of my favorite colors for the background and I chose purple because it's my favorite color. Purple is my favorite because it's not too girly or too boyish and I think I'm in the middle...more girly but still I just feel for purple haha. :). Any purple is perfect. I Chose a purple and using the paint busket tool to get the whole page the color I picked. Then to get the stripes I used the rectange marquee tool and the paint bucket tool. Then I used the brush of the rose because that's my favorite flower :) and to do that I just clicked on the brush tool and towards the top of the page are many brushes. Same with the music notes I clicked on the brush tool and went to the top of the page for many options of brushes. I used a stroke for the picture border and I used stroke instead of border and fill because the picture wouldn't let me and I'm not sure why. With the text I used the same font. I changed the colors and used stroke just for the bestfriend quote. I just copy and pasted the volleyball and basketball. To get the zebra picture behind my initials I just used the clipping mask found under layer and it hides inside the text. I also created a new brush. I took praying hands off the intenet by cop and pasting the hands onto a new document and went under edit and clicked on define brush preset. THAT'S IT!!

Post Card
First I edited the picture of the Days sign. I cleaned up the sign using the clone stamp tool because those circles on the wood made it look ugly. Also there was a crack in the sign and I used the patch tool to fix it. I took out the shed behind the park using the selection tool and the clone stamp tool because it was distracting. I took out the tree branches using both the clone stamp tool and the patch tool. On the post card the opacity is set on 76%. I copied the picture and changed the blending mode to overlay.
Secondly, I edited the picture of my mom and me. I used the quick selection tool and changed the background to black and white using image and adjustments. I changed the vibrancy because we looked really white and that setting allows us to have color. The opacity is set on 92%. I copied the picture and changed the blending mode to overlay.
The family picture wasn’t a very good picture. It was out of focus and the light was a big distraction and it really ruined the photo. So, I cropped out the family and put it on the post card. I cropped us out using the polygon lasso tool. I changed the whole screen and made two screens show and slid one picture into the other.
To get the post card I made a new document and made a 4x6 layout. I used the text tool to create my text and the character to change fonts and font sizes.
I made borders aroung the post card and the pictures. To make a border I used the selection tool, went to select, modify and border. The border guide wants the number of pixels we want selected and it won't do anything if you don't fill it. I went to edit, fill, then this guide wants the opacity and the higher you go, the more the color is visible. and there are my borders!
I created a new brush of clip art. To do that, I copied it from the internet and pasted it on a new document and listed it as bow. I changed the size using master odometer. And I changed the opacity using the opacity setting. ALL DONE!!!

Choice #1
This photo was taken October 14th, 2010 around 9:45 a.m. The flash is off and the setting was on guide and outdoor cloudy lighting.
I cropped out the edges of the door and straightened out the picture. I think this photo looks alot better.
I thought the picture could be brighter so I used levels; in levels I changed the level to lighter, I brought the highlights into 130 instead of 150, I didn't change the midtones or the shadows. I changed the curves of the photo to a linear contrast, this makes the photos color pop out more. I changed the color balance of the photo, I didn't change midtones and changed the cyan-red to +12, didn't change the magenta-green, changed the yellow-blue to -8. I also took out the light post next to the first E in EMERGENCY. I like this photo because it's straight and not a big shadow on the right anymore!

Scale
This picture was taken November 4th, 2010 at about 4:00 p.m. The flash is off and the setting is on landscape.
I changed the brightness: the brightness is set higher and the contrast is lower. I also changed the curves and the setting for that one is higher too. The contrast made the picture brighter and the changed the darker parts of the picture brighter too. I like this picture because it's not dim anymore.
City Scape
I took this photo around 12:00 p.m. On November 4th, 2010. The setting was on AUTO and the flash was off.
I cropped the photo. I only changed the levels and this made the photo darker. I removed the advertisment sign laying on the ground on the left of the stop sign. I like this photo better because I can see more into the picture, I like that I can see the lake better.

Lines
This photo was taken on November 4, 2010 at about 1:00 p.m. The setting is on AUTO and the flash is off. I think this photo looks kinda grey and I want it to look purple.
I cropped the photo because it looked crooked. I also changed the color balance; The Cyan changes the color darker or lighter and in this picture it changes the purple dark, the Magenta changes the color completely, I went WAY down in this setting, I changed the locker color to purple because it looked more grey in the original photo, yellow changes the tints and I set the tint to a higher setting. I also removed the glares from the light in the corner. :) I like this photo more because it doesn't look boring anymore. I think this is nice photo.

Diagonal Rule
This picture was taken in the month of August, 2010. I was in a car on my way to Coon Rapids and it's in the morning. The setting of the camera is on auto and the flash is off.
I cropped the picture and took out the car because 5x7 was too big but you can't tell any more. I also took out the white post on the bar of the bridge and I cleaned the road a little. I changed the levels only of the sky part and this is because I thought if I changed the color of the road it only gets darker or lighter and I don't want either so I only changed the start of the dirt to the sky. Shows alot more color then the first. I like this photo better because it's clean and a more focused photo. This photo is diagonal because my eyes are being dragged diagonal

Landscape - sky empahasis
This picture was taken in Laporte at about 9:00 a.m on 10/28/10.
The flash was off and the setting was on auto.
When this picture was taken I wanted more sky than ground but they were the same size so I cropped it.I went to the setting adjustment and picked hue/saturation and didn't change the hue. I changed the saturation which makes the picture brighter or dimmer and I set the setting higher which made it brighter. I also changed the lighness of the picture and this made the picture lighter. I changed the level of the picture just a tinsie winsie bit. This setting made the clouds move and show more. I removed the fence by the trees and took the power post away. I wanted a more natural picture and that's what I have. This picture is sky emphasis because it shows more sky than ground. I like this picture better because it's natural and has lovely color in the grass.

Architecture
I took this photo on October 23, 2010. I was in Saint Paul Minneapolis. The setting is on scene, landscape and the flash is off.
I cropped this photo, makes it a stronger. I changed the hue higher and saturation lower. I changed the curves this setting made the sky bluer. I think this picture looks better because the building looks awesome.

Landscape - ground emphasis
This picture was taken in my yard . It was taken October 22, 2010. The setting was on scene and on lanscape. The flash is off.
I eliminated the posts gaurding the trees and the yellow cord under the net. This photo is the ground emphasis because the ground shows more than the shy.
In this photo I changed the the hue/saturation. I think this photo is better because the posts in the back are gone, color of the grass is green, the sun is shining, and the pretty net in the background.

B&W with Color
This picture was taken around 6:00 p.m. on October 8th, 2010. I took this picture at home. The setting was on auto and the flash was on.
The saturation is low. I couln't just change it to black and white because I wouln't be able to go the the layers and just move a layer if I didn't want it.
I changed the level, saturation and the curves. The setting I used to change the color was the eraser tool. This picture is better because it's pretty. :) So all together in my steps of editing this I: Changed the satuarion very low to make the picture black and white then I used the eraser tool to erase the black and white on the flower and changed it to the color it was before.

Photo Clean-up
This picture was taken in the gym during school at about 12:20, October 12, 2010. The boys are ballin it up! :) The setting was on SCENE mode and on sporting event. No flash.
One of the reasons this picture is better is because the lighting is brighter. I moved the people in the left corner out of the way. I changed the curves lower, and I changed the brightness and contrast.

Straight vs. Angled
This picture was taken at my house at about 6:00 p.m. on September 28th, 2010. The setting is on auto. The flash is off. Lovely color, I like the pink.:)
NOOOO CORRECTION! :) but needs it.
I changed the curve lower. The exposure is a little higher and made the vibrance show better color. :) I like that the flower is lighter than the original. It shows the glow in the middle more. I like it!
Color Replacement!!!
This picture was taken at about 9:00 a.m. The lighting isn't the greatest. It's not cropped, someones head is in the fway. It's not even set at the right setting.
So...I began the cropping, looks a little better.
Now!!! I did the crop, no more big head. :) And now ALL the headbands are the purple and we look pretty good. :) No more yellow skinnies so she now matches the volleyball team, sorry kelli :))))) hehe: to change the color I went to the quick selection tool, selected the things I wanted to be a certain color then went to adjustments which led me to color replace then wa-laa. I like this picture now because we look like we planned to wear the same color of jeans, kinda. Yay!
I tried to change the curves in this picture and it didn't turn out very well so instead I used levels to make the picture a little brighter.
